Fleet Championship Calculation Method

This championship is to be awarded to the fleet member who shows the most consistency across the board in Annapolis Etchells racing - in all the types of racing this fleet does, including Wednesday evenings.

The basic scoring will be as follows:
For each race, the winner shall receive points equal to the 1 more than number of boats entered in the regatta. Second shall receive points equal to the number of boats entered, third, points equal to 1 less than the number of boats entered , etc. Boats who are DNF, DSQ, OCS shall receive 1 point. All other boats shall receive 0.

For Wednesday night racing, each of the series shall be counted as 2 races (for a total of 6) with the same points structure as weekend racing. The points totals shall be the number of boats entered in each of the individual series. Any boat who registered but competed in no races will be scored as a DNC (0 points).

Worlds Qualifier Calculation Method

For a boat to qualify for the a world championship slot, they must sail in at least 50% of the total number of weekend races (excluding the 6 that are created from the Wednesday series). The slots will be given out in order of finish within the qualifiers. If there are slots still available, and all of the qualifiers have been offered one, the remaining slots should be given out based on the finish order of the non-qualifiers.

Weekend races are defined as those regularly scheduled weekend races, such as NOOD, Lippincott, EYC One Design, etc. Special events such as North Americans will not count towards the fleet championship.
